Did you know that Christians who operate or work in a business have a “secret weapon” that people who are not followers of Christ do not have?

It’s true. The scriptures clearly state it to be true. And it’s not only useful in the business realm, it’s also a powerful “secret weapon” for all of life. You can access this “secret weapon” any time you want, and can be confident that it is yours to use with God’s approval.

What is this secret weapon? You’ll have to watch to find out.

Let’s begin by reading James 1:5-7,

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. For that person must not suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.

With this in mine, as Christ-followers, we have the resource of God’s wisdom at our fingertips. Not just the best wisdom that a business coach or mentor can offer, but the wisdom of God, Himself, the Creator of everything. God knows how business relationships work, how economies work, how supply and demand work better than anyone who has ever lived. And we have Him on our side.

And there isn’t a huge cost to receiving this wisdom. All you have to do is ask Him for it.

Isn’t that phenomenal? It’s gotta be the biggest bargain that has every existed!Christians Secret Weapon

So, in your business, what are the things you are struggling with? What are the obstacles you are facing? To find the solutions for these, all you have to do is ask God for the wisdom that you need.

BUT, THERE IS ONE CAVEAT.

When you ask, you have to not only ask with your words, but actually ask in faith. You have to believe that you will receive what you are asking for.   Keep in mind, what you are asking for is wisdom – not the completion of your plans or a higher income that month, but wisdom.

After faithfully asking, you have to go out and act as if God is giving you wisdom. That’s faith. Faith is a confidence in God. Faith is unwavering trust that He will do what He says He will do.

What does he say in regards to this?

God has told us that if we ask for wisdom, He will give it to us generously. (James 1:5)

So, here are my challenging questions: Are you asking God for the wisdom you need? Are you boldly stepping out in faith with the knowledge that He will provide you with this wisdom? Are you moving into those difficult situations with employees, contractors, or clients with confidence in God’s guidance and wisdom?
