COVID-19 Quarantine Encouragement from Adrian Gonzalez

The five-time MLB All Star offers encouragement through trying times.

Quarantine Encouragement from Adrian GonzalezWith all of us isolated in our homes, it’s comforting to know that as followers of Jesus, we are never alone. God wasn’t kidding when He said, “Don’t be afraid because I will be with you.”

To help remind us of God’s promises, we have reached out to our “Friends of The Yard”. This week, we welcome five-time MLB All Star, Adrian Gonzalez!

Adrian Gonzalez, 4x Gold Glove Award & 2x Silver Slugger Winner:

I want to share my favorite Bible verse with all of you. I think that in these tough times, it’s important to keep our focus on Jesus and the message that He has always had for us. My favorite Bible verse is Psalm 27:1 and it says:

The Lord is my light and my salvation – whom shall I fear?

The Lord is a stronghold in my life, of whom should I be afraid?

Especially in these times, having my focus be on Jesus, and not having fear, knowing that He is my foothold, He is my base, my foundation; and anything that happens in life – there’s gonna be a lot of trials and tribulations like what we’re going through right now – but having Jesus as my foundation gives me peace. He keeps me calm and lets me know that no matter what, I am protected and I’m embraced by his being. And. I know that with Him, all things will come to pass.
