Former NFL Wide Receiver Robert Ortiz
The former SDSU stand out & current Aztec Stadium DJ shares how God miraculously cured him and walked alongside him throughout his life’s ups and downs.
This week’s guest and co-host is Robert Ortiz. Robert grew up knowing that God was right beside him, and Robert has made it a habit to seek God’s will in everything he does from which school to attend, which scholarship to pass on, when to walk away from professional football, and what to do in these, the best days of his life.
Over Washer Toss
- Robert grew up in San Diego and found great success as a high school junior, then suffered a tremendous injury that should have ended his athletic “career”.
- God healed him and Robert went on to play for SDSU.
- While at SDSU, Robert made ESPN’s Top 10 plays against Michigan.
- After bouncing around Europe, Canada, and a few NFL teams, Robert’s biggest break came with the New England Patriots, catching a touchdown against the Giants.
How faith and sports have collided in Robert’s life:
- Robert knew without a doubt that God has been guiding him throughout his life – the trick is to be obedient to God’s will.
