Loss – extreme loss – tends to bring about a reaction in us unlinke any other.

But, we are never alone in such moments. Just as Rabbi Yehuda HChasid wrote, “I will build an altar of the fragments of my broken heart”, we have a means to connect with God through these seasons of loss. God Himself led David to write, “The sacrifice You desire is a broken spirit. You will not reject a broken and repentant heart, O God.” These divinely inspired words makes it clear that through such moments of extreme loss, we have the opportunity to engage in a rich, close, intimate and deep relationship with our Heavenly Father – our Abba.
