Is obedience a boring old drag or a reflection of our character?
In this week’s podcast, Joel Fieri asserts that we have a built in flaw in our character – in our programming, if you will. But God has given us the help we need: The Holy Spirit!
You see, we instinctively want to do what we want to do when we want to do it. We want to obey only when we feel like it. But this only leads to sin and personal destruction. However, obedience to God’s will with the help of the Holy Spirit makes us different people than we were before. It actually changes our character. And THAT is how we inherit His kingdom – by allowing Him to change our character and allowing our obedience to become our expression of love, not a boring rut.
Joel then goes on to nominate two heroes from Pakistan to the Great Cloud of Witenesses of which “the world is not worthy”.
