In the movies, when heroes narrowly escape death, we gasp, we cheer, we fist bump and then we go home.
But, when we, ourselves, are met with true peril – when WE almost die – the gravity of the moment is much more impactful than in the movies.
In this week’s podcast, my dad recalls three different occasions when he came “this close” to meeting his Maker. But more importantly, Dad explains the lessons that he has learned from these narrow escapes.
It all boils down to this: How precious is life and what do you do with this assessment? Then ask, “What legacy do I want to leave behind and how have I touched peoples’ lives?” You see, my dad hopes that none of us live and eventually die with the regrets of “I should have done…” or “I missed (fill in the opportunity)”.
Instead, realize that TODAY is the opportunity you have to do something. So, look for your opportunities and move on them today – THAT’S the important step that we all need to make!
