It’s not always easy to love strangers – usually due to their behavior. Because they’re often different than us, they can sometimes drive us nuts.
That is, until we consider Hebrews 13:1-2 (TLB)
Continue to love each other with true brotherly love. 2 Don’t forget to be kind to strangers, for some who have done this have entertained angels without realizing it!
These verses hit me like a freight train.
Imagine if you were at Starbucks and a stranger is irritating you and then you mistreat them. You may have mistreated an angel without even realizing it!
Being kind to strangers is an aspect of faithfulness that we all need to employ. But most of the time, we don’t even think about it – we just go through our day doing our thing without taking into consideration what Jesus did for us on the cross.
Too often, we don’t think about Jesus at all… until we need Him.
And yet still, He loves us unconditionally – even when we were strangers to Him.
