As he wraps up his “Playing with Fire” series, Jay offers his final warning:  If you’re about to crash land your life, you don’t get a second chance to fly again.

You see, there are three categories of people:

1)   Hot, on fire, sold out believer in Jesus Christ

2)   Lukewarm to the things of God and

3)   Cold to the things of God

It’s on this premise that Jay puts a spotlight on “Romans 7 sin”.  In Romans, Paul writes about how he does exactly what he doesn’t want to do.  No matter what exactly Paul’s struggle was, it hindered him from being in that first category of “hot, on fire, sold out Christian”.

We’re no different than Paul.

Just like in the story of the Three Ugly Troutlings, there are things getting in the way of us being bass – especially when it’s so enticing to be a trout.  However, Biblically, there is no such thing as a trout.  There are either bass, bass dressed like trout or carp dressed like trout.

Confused yet?

Give Jay a few minutes to explain in this week’s podcast.  You’ll be glad that you did as he makes sense of it all by comparing the fishy story to many churchgoers today and Biblical heroes such as Thomas and Lot.
