- The Kingdom of God is here and it’s now! What is Kingdom living at its best? Kingdom living is learning to manifest the indwelling Christ in our every minute, everyday lives. It’s waking up in the morning and saying, “Jesus, live through me today.” It’s putting your focus on Him as you go through your day.
- He never meant for His body to stop seeking Him at the moment of salvation. There is so much more!!! He came to set us free so we can enjoy life in the here and now. In spite of what we see happening in the world.
- He provided a way to move through this life in peace, with direction and purpose born of the Spirit. You are important to Him!!! He has plans for you!!
- If you are with us, then He is not through with you. He has a plan!! When we fail to enter into a relationship with God that is born of the Holy Spirit, we are left with a religion, not a relationship. It is sad that so many find themselves living with an intellectual belief in God, but without a relationship that is based on two-way communication. Do you converse with Him daily, talk to Him about everything?
To think that attending a meeting once a week is participating in God’s church is simply not true if you don’t walk away with an intimacy with Jesus that far transcends the going to church.
- We are the church!! We should be in community with other believers as a part of our lives all week long. And our lives should reach into the market place, so that the liberty we walk in will cause others to be thirsty for what we have. Jesus did not come to merely give us a ticket to Heaven. When he came to earth He came in order to penetrate the very kingdom of darkness with light. He came to bring healing to sickness, replace sadness with joy, and fill meaninglessness with purpose. He came to change things for the better for a world that has no hope outside of God. It is so that we might bring the Kingdom of God into our world, our families, our workplace, and our communities.
“Our fellowship is with him!” “Believe what you hear.” “Follow me as I follow Christ.”
- I regularly meet people in my coaching business who have been faithful in good religious institutions who grope around as if God does not speak to them and as if he is not able to transform them. Many have no idea how to enjoy a relationship with a Father and his Son that gives them hope and direction in their darkest days and teaches them how live in his power instead of their own efforts.
- The New Testament is the invitation to follow him, not follow the dictates of a religious program.
- He knows each of his sheep by name and leads them with his voice. He connects with us; we follow him –He went on to say that his sheep would know his voice so well that they wouldn’t follow a stranger. Is that ever true!
- His sheep really do hear his voice; it’s just that they’ve been taught not to trust it. When they hear the voice of a stranger, it sounds wrong to them even if they can’t put their finger on exactly why. But that’s when they often get talked into ignoring what they know to be true inside. They are accused of independence, arrogance and rebellion to make sure they get back in line and don’t cause any trouble.
- Who are you to think you can know God? Do you have the training we have, or the anointing? Do you read Greek? Are you going to argue with the ‘wisdom passed down through the ages’?
Leadership in the early church helped people learn how to walk with the living Jesus,
- Your calling is your workplace, family, and community. Ask God to show you how He wants you to penetrate the darkness with His light. Then you will see and experience all the features of this gift that has been given to you. You matter to Him!!!
