Do you really believe that Jesus actually existed?

You could point to verses in the Bible to prove your belief, but why should anyone believe those stories?  Better yet, why should anyone believe that the Bible is the Word of God?

Now, II Timothy 3:16 says:

“All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.”

And if the Bible says it, it must be true, right?

But, logically, can we assume the Bible is true in order to prove the Bible is true?

However, outside of the Bible, there are 10’s of thousands of ancient manuscripts that line up and tell us that we have the Bible exactly as it was written.  But, even when we compare the ancient manuscripts, there is still a certain margin of error in regards to translations of ancient languages to today’s versions.

And, when we look at science (particularly evolution vs. intelligent design), we see that humans share 99.5% of the same genetic code as chimps, modern man still has what appears to be the original bone structure where tails once existed, and many other supposed links to prove Darwin’s’ theories.

Yet, Darwinian theory still falls very short of proving the vast complexities of the universe around us.

So, one key for us, as Christians, is to have a grasp of the proof around us – both within and outside of Scripture – that prove God is who He says He is and the Bible is true.

Over the next several weeks, we will dive in together to achieving a greater understanding of the merits of intelligent design and creation, compared to the pitfalls and shortcomings of Darwinian theory.
