Step 2: Verbalizing the Incident –
Verbalize in detail with knowledgeable support person.
This is an important step and is most times the first place a survivor gets stuck…who to talk to ? In the body of Christ we were made for community. We were never meant to isolate ourselves. It is how we grow. In our vulnerabilities and transparencies God uses others to not only help us to mature, but He uses YOU to help others and through helping others you continue to heal.
You are worth getting help!! You are valuable to Jesus and He loves you with a wild, passion filled love. His spirit is our supreme counselor. You are not limited to how he can provide a trusted person, or coach, or therapist to help guide you.
Don’t underestimate Him!!! Believe!!! Be willing to surrender all to Him and let Him do the work. This program is part of Him reaching out to you with healing.
Telling the secret is one of the most important aspects of the victim’s healing process. Once this ground is broken, the seeds of restoration can emerge from every survivor.
Another integral part of the telling in the healing process is taking the self-blame and placing that blame on the abuser where it truthfully belongs. …. Christians can help victims find the seeds of healing by encouraging them to use godly means of overcoming the abuse and helping them to grow into the tree of life that God intended them to be. But how do you do that? By realizing who we really are in Christ. So, Who are we?
The real you just got lost in the enemies lies, but now is the time to emerge into healing……….learn to make these your daily declarations….

We have to renew our minds to what He says about us by making these words a part of who we are!! It really helps to pray the scripture as a prayer with your name right in it…personalize it to yourself. Faith comes by hearing and what better way than to hear yourself confessing these things about yourself!!
