According to my dad, “The most important play is the one that hasn’t happened yet.”  In baseball, and in life, it’s important to mentally prepare for any situation that the game – or life – may send your way.;

If you think ahead and plan for a line drive coming at you, or ground ball, or pop fly, or bunt, you’re already prepared for what do do.  Similarly, if you (at least attempt) to look forward and prepare for life’s opportunities and mishaps that may come your way, then the decisions made “in the moment” are easier to make.

However, sometimes the game of life can throw you a curveball that comes out of nowhere.  It’s in those moments that it’s extremely critical to surround yourself with great, supportive, loving “teammates”.

To sum up, whether you’re facing a hard line drive, a hard to deal with teenager or hard financial times, the key is: Practice, Practice, Practice.
