In The Yard Interview:

Diamondbacks Chaplain Brian HommelArizona Diamondbacks Chaplain Brian Hummel calls into the show and shares the role a chaplain plays in Major League Baseball, and how it has opened doors to spreading the Gospel outside of MLB and into the far corners of the world.

Brian also works as a board member for Consider the Lily, an organization that rescues women in the Philippines out of Human Trafficking, adopts them into a safe family, and sets them on a whole new trajectory with job training, but most of all joy and hope. Brian shares story after story of how Consider the Lily is spreading God’s love and saving message of forgiveness and redemption.

The universal language across humanity isn’t love, it’s suffering. We all suffer at some point in life. Knowing this, we can look at the book of Job to see that God is worthy to be trusted, knows what He is doing and doesn’t make mistakes. Even when we are hit with deserved or undeserved trials, God is unfailing. We can always look to Jesus – who knows pain, suffering and temptation as well – for truth, healing, and forgiveness.
