This week, we’re in for a real treat as Dewey prepares to deliver the charge, or challenge, at his son David’s ordination ceremony.  And, as Paul writes to Timothy and Titus, so does Dewey charge David and all of us – with the goal of our instruction being love.  Love for eachother and love for God.  The rest, as Paul points out, are meaningless discussions without love.  But where does sound doctrine fall in?  Dewey contends that while important, sound doctrine is merely a means to the greater purpose – that all believers be filled with love.
